The Illinois Consulting Academy provides opportunities for students to join a group of students and case each other. During these case chains, students will not only gain experience in learning how to case, but they will also learn how to conduct a case interview. This practice allows for students to improve their own skill set, but also see common mistakes or best practices from other students, so that they may gain a holistic understanding of how to perform well on case interviews.
Coming soon…The Illinois Consulting Academy will provide an extensive case curriculum that will train members to be experts in casing. Upon completion of the curriculum, a student will have gone through ~30 cases, a number of super-days, and variety of case styles. This is a large time commitment and more information will be coming soon.
Business Career Services and Engineering Career Services provide a number of robust training sessions focused on preparing you for your next case interview. Led by the BCS Case Training Team, these workshops provide a hands-on approach to tackling the infamous case interview. Each training focuses on a specific skill set (structuring & frameworks, math skills, graph analysis, etc.) and then applies that skill through interactive activities and a simulated case walk-through.
There are a number of other publications and resources that are available to read and study in preparation for doing a case interview. Some of the more common publications are Case in Point, Ace The Case, and Crack The Case. Additionally, many other websites, such as Wetfeet or Vault offer resources to help prepare.
